Patrick Atima – Patrick
Guide
About
Patrick, our energetic safari guide with river expertise, was born in Arua, in the northwestern region of Uganda. He began his education at Tara Primary School (1997–2003), then moved to Kampala for high school, attending Blue Nile Secondary School from 2004 to 2007.
In 2008, Patrick joined Wild Frontiers as a river guide at Murchison Falls, where his strong work ethic and natural aptitude quickly stood out. He was promoted to Boat Captain, earning his internationally recognized Power Boat Certification in 2012. With years of experience on the river—including fishing safaris—Patrick sought to expand his guiding skills further and trained as a safari guide, taking on road-based safaris in addition to his river guiding.
Since then, Patrick has grown into an experienced and independent safari guide, now confidently leading safaris across both Uganda and Rwanda.
His certifications include:
4×4 driving (high/low range and defensive) – completed in 2014
Professional Guiding (Level 1) – from the Uganda Safari Guides Association (USAGA)
Patrick is outgoing, personable, and known for his sense of humor. In his free time, he enjoys birdwatching, reading, and watching movies. His well-rounded skills and friendly nature make him a favorite among guests seeking an engaging and knowledgeable safari experience.
